To the CJP Community,

Robotics Residency at CJP

Another Robotics Residency update… This week, the following seven classes have been participating: Ms. Ross, Ms. Turner, Ms. Shivji, Ms. Espanola, Ms. Nair, Ms. Wright, and Ms. Jagger/Ms. Toupin.

This program is designed to inspire students through hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Throughout the residency, students will be engaging in various activities that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. They will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of robotics and gain valuable skills in programing/coding.

We believe this residency is not only enhancing our curriculum but also igniting a passion for learning and innovation in our students. We encourage you to talk with your child about what they are learning and to foster their curiosity at home.

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide our students with enriching experiences that prepare them for a bright future. If you would like to get involved, please see below in the CJP School Council / Parents Association content for volunteer opportunities.

Halloween at CJP

As Halloween approaches, we would like to remind families our goal for the day is to enjoy this opportunity in an inclusive way while keeping our focus on learning. To ensure a fun and inclusive experience for everyone on October 31 and November 1, please consider the following guidelines:

  • Costumes - Students are welcome to wear costumes on Thursday, Oct 31 if they wish.
  • No Masks or Weapons – To minimize distractions, we ask that students refrain from wearing masks or bringing faux weapons as they are an added distraction from learning.
  • Costume Considerations: If a costume is overly cumbersome (like large inflatable costumes) we ask that it be worn for only part of the day to help maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Treats - On Friday, November 1 we kindly request that students bring only a small amount of treats for snacks or lunch, as we know that good nutrition supports learning.

Thank you for your support. We hope everyone that celebrates Halloween has a safe and fun evening.

Robotics Residency with EZ-Robot

A big thank you to all the volunteers who have supported our students and classrooms over the past three weeks.

The SC/PA are excited to maintain the same level of volunteer support in the remaining week of our residency. We would like to invite volunteers to help students with programming during class. We would greatly appreciate any additional assistance in other classrooms that still need support. Your involvement is crucial for ensuring a successful and enriching residency for all students. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a positive impact!
