To the CJP Community

What a fantastic day we had for our Ride-to-School event! It was wonderful to see so many students riding their bikes and scooters, proudly wearing helmets and getting them checked for safety. Thank you to all the parents for supporting this important initiative. The students had a blast engaging with the CPS team through their Q&A sessions and obstacle courses, making the event both fun and educational. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Ross and Mr. Mahon for representing our teachers, and to School Council Chair Martina Damm and Vice-Chair Dawn Borowski for their outstanding leadership in planning this event. We are also deeply grateful to all the volunteers whose efforts ensured the day ran seamlessly. Finally, a sincere thank you to Constable Hammer and the entire CPS team for their presence and valuable contributions to the event’s success.

In other news, it was the Grade 1/2 classes’ turn to take to the pool, and they had a fantastic time! A big thank you to the many parents who volunteered to make this wonderful experience possible.

Additionally, our dedicated school patrol team was recognized with a special patrol picnic at Heritage Park alongside other schools, celebrating their valuable service to our community. Many thanks to our patrol students and to Ms. Toupin, Ms. Wilpert, and Mr. Mahon for their ongoing support.

Looking ahead, we’re also excited to welcome Elder Shirley on Wednesday and Thursday, who will be working closely with students and teachers. Don’t forget our School Council Family Picnic and Mural Unveiling event next Thursday - a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together as a community. Then on Friday, we’ll be kicking off the PATs once again. It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting time as we head toward the end of the school year!
