To the CJP community,

It has been a unique and challenging few weeks for our school community. As we return to classes, our focus is on re-establishing connection for our students. The past several weeks has been a time of uncertainty, and we recognize that returning to routine will take time... for students, staff, and families alike.

Our top priority at this time is ensuring a smooth transition back to school that supports student learning and well-being. Teachers and staff are focused on creating a sense of stability and belonging in classrooms while helping students re-engage with their learning. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these next steps together.

Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. Our school continues to be a place of care, curiosity, and community, and it’s through that shared commitment that we’ll find our rhythm again.

Sincerely,
Oliver Fisher
Principal, Captain John Palliser School

School Spirit Wear sales close this Sunday, November 2 at 8pm! Check out our social media @cjpparents to see fun new shoe charms that have been added and visit Fundraising page to place your order today.  We’re only 22 clothing items away from earning a higher percentage of the profits, which supports student opportunities and learning at our school, so if you haven’t ordered yet, please consider doing so this weekend and help us reach our goal!

Fun Lunch: The next Fun Lunch is Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with Mucho Burrito! Orders are due November 14, 2025. Please ensure your student is registered at www.HealthyHunger.ca and volunteer opportunities will be posted soon at www.cjppa.ca/volunteer. If circumstances change, a scheduled Fun Lunch may still need to be cancelled. In that case, families will be notified, and credits will be applied to their Healthy Hunger accounts.
