Dear CJP Families,
Spring has truly sprung – the students are very excited to enjoy the sunshine! This week we welcomed Carol Hall as our principal until the end of next week when Mr.Fisher returns from a trip. Thank you for supporting us, Ms. Hall!
Next week is quite busy with two celebrations. The first is our volunteer tea at 2:30 pm on Tuesday the 6thth – we can’t wait to show our appreciation to all of our amazing volunteers. We will also have a celebration and round dance with Adrian and Albert Goulet on Wednesday May 7th at 11 am. This will be held out on the field; parents/guardian are welcome to join on the hill to watch.

PATs Volunteer Readers: CJP has students who need support for their upcoming PATs. We're looking for volunteers with a CBE security clearance who can help read and write the provincial achievement exams. Sign up here if you can help!

Fun Lunch/Fun Snack: Today is the last day to order Subway Fun Lunch for Wednesday, May 7th, Be sure to place your order. Booster Juice Fun Snack will be on Thursday, May 15th, the deadline to order is next Friday, May 9th. We are still looking for one more volunteer to help at Fun Lunch. Teacher’s Appreciation week Starts Monday! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9th! We want your student(s) to get involved in showing the teachers how much we care. Information is coming home today including a handout and popsicle stick. Write something you love about your teacher and bring it back anytime next week. Thursday is Wear your teacher’s Favourite Colour Day.
Bus Driver Appreciation Day May 5th - Does your student ride the bus? What a great time to say thank you or give a high 5 to your Bus driver and let them know you value all they do.
Parent’s Speaker Night! Join the CJP SC/PA as we host Connie Jakab on May 21, 2025! At this FREE event we will explore the complexities of bullying & learn practical strategies that work. School Council and Parents Association Meeting: The final meeting of the term is on May 27th. This meeting we will be electing and appointing volunteers to various roles for next year. Work Bee: The monthly Work Bee is coming up on May 14th! If you have any spare time we have morning and afternoon shifts to be filled. These working get-togethers help the CJP teachers and staff. Sign up here!
Pedalheads: Planning your summer? Use code CPTJOHN25 when you register your student(s) for any Pedalheads bike program in Alberta. Until June 30, 2025, you will receive $25 off the program. In return, the CJP Parents Association also receives $25 each time the code is used. Check out the available programs on the Pedalheads website.
