Parents & Guardians of CJP,
On behalf of the entire staff I’d like to send out a heartfelt thank you to the Parents Association for this morning’s Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. At a busy time of year, this was a great opportunity for teachers to gather together over some delicious treats and take a collective breath. Thank you too for the posters positioned throughout the school for students to write messages for teachers and support staff. These latest gestures on the part of the Parents Association are very much appreciated.
The CJP [gr. 3-6] Spring Showcase is Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Tickets are going fast! Book now if you haven’t already…
Student Safety
As valued members of our school community, we kindly remind parents/guardians of your crucial role in ensuring the safety of all our students, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Please observe the following guidelines when driving in school zones:
- Adhere to Speed Limits: Respect posted speed limits and be prepared to slow down, especially during busy times when children are arriving or leaving school.
- Avoid Distractions: Keep your attention focused on the road and avoid distractions such as using mobile phones or engaging in other activities that could divert your attention.
- Follow Traffic Rules: Obey all traffic signs, signals, and parking regulations within the school zone. Yield to pedestrians, our school safety patrol team, and crosswalks, and refrain from double parking or stopping in restricted areas.
- Exercise Patience: Be patient and courteous to other drivers, pedestrians, and school staff. Avoid rushing or making sudden maneuvers that could endanger others.
- Model Safe Behaviour: As role models for our children, demonstrate responsible driving habits and emphasize the importance of pedestrian safety.
By working together and prioritizing safety, we can create a secure environment for our students to thrive. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our school community safe.
