On February 28th, grade 5 and 6 students had the awesome opportunity to attend the Be Brave Hitmen game to honour Pink Shirt Day! We had a great time travelling on the bus, cheering on the Hitmen, dancing to Taylor Swift and standing up to bullying with over 10 000 students from across Calgary. We also had three students from CJP who were selected for special roles during the event.

Ascher (from Room 18) did an outstanding job as the “Hype Person,” energizing the crowd and handing out prizes throughout the game. Nowellia (from Room 17) showcased her talent as the Junior Organist by playing a song in each period. Zackary (from Room 17) had the incredible opportunity as the Junior Broadcaster, where he spent the game on the press level interacting with NHL scouts, and being featured on Fan 960 radio.

Congratulations to Ascher, Nowellia and Zackary!
